The background tune on the homepage is the old version of "Toss the feathers". on the about us page is "Sporting Nell" and on the News page is "Johhny Allen's". These are from an actual recording of a session in Peppers bar Feakle one Wednesday evening earlier this year.

Below is the tune set for the background music on this page. It is a set often played in McGregors sessions and also in Wednesday sessions in Peppers bar Feakle.

The First reel was composed by Paddy Fahy and is in the key of "D Dorian".
Modal keys are preferred in this region of Clare and south Galway.
Paddy Didn't give names to his tunes and so it is known locally as Paddy Fahy's Reel (It can be confusing as he has written many great tunes).

For those of you who don't read the "Dots" as they say, below is the same tune in "ABC" fomat.

The second tune is the "Porthole of the Kelp" again in the key of "D Dorian". This tune was written by the late Bobby Casey R.I.P. Bobby originated from Bellbridge in West Clare but he loved the East Clare style of playing and often played Paddy Fahy's tunes. This tune blends extremely well with the first tune.

and the third tune is the "Maids of Michelstown" also in the key of "D Dorian". This tune would be played in the key of "E Dorian" in most other sessions.
